Split claimed-complete from verified-complete in the register. The gap between the two, not the raw open count, is what will surface at the final inspection.

Work the largest unresolved lines first — value, not line count, is what settles the account. Confirm every claim carries the substantiation the contract requires before assessing it.

Loading is not validating. Have FM validate a sampled subset — minimum 10% or 50 assets — before this counts as complete.

Close out the remaining witnessed tests and seasonal commissioning. Confirm every handover-critical system holds a signed certificate with recorded readings, not just a pass mark.

Track by volume and section with draft, comment and acceptance dates. 'No comment received' is not acceptance — chase written FM acceptance explicitly.

Close out attached conditions, not just issued certificates. A certificate with open conditions is a liability sitting in the client's file.

Nothing is being captured and the team is about to disperse. Book the workshop this month — after demobilisation the knowledge is unrecoverable at any price.

Schedule the remaining sessions and require signed attendance sheets. A calendar invite is not evidence that training occurred.

Work the physical category first: keys, access system administration, security codes, spares and attic stock. These are the items that surface as disputes months later.

Works agreed incomplete at PC are drifting. Every entry needs a value withheld and an agreed completion date — without both it is not a managed deferral, it is an unclosed scope gap.

Complete the transfer to the client and confirm the beneficiary named on each document is correct.

Lessons learned is the first deliverable dropped and the only one that pays forward. Book the workshop before demobilisation — this is the cheapest item on the list and the only one that cannot be recovered later.
